Curved Dancing Ramp
Investigating Normal - Fall 2016
Last year, Olin College worked with Alice Sheppard to build the ramp seen here.

Alice is a professional dancer who uses a wheelchair, and uses dance to investigate modes of movement. Because the large ramp was such a success, she came back and asked for a modular curved ramp kit.

Investigating Normal: Assistive and Adaptive Technologies is a class where we investigate ability and disability, culminating in a project. Over the course of the semester, I worked with 3 other students to codesign the ramps shown below with Alice. Our process is outlined with the images below, and had feedback from Alice every step of the way.
